Unilever takes over Brazilian organic producer Mãe Terra

by Editor (comments: 0)

By its own account, Unilever has announced to take over the Brazilian organic food producer Mãe Terra for an unknown sum. According to Unilever, Mãe Terra employs around 300 employees and has a yearly growth rate of 30%. Only recently, the Anglo-Dutch group has acquired Pukka Herbs for an undisclosed amount of money. In line with that, Unilever intends to support the newly acquired brands by using synergies from its distribution channels.

Mãe Terra is a company that concentrates on health conscious consumers and produces approximately 120 different products such as organic rice, pasta, cookies and toast. These products are distributed all over Brazil.
