by Editor (comments: 0)

Textile Exchange (TE) has announced details of its annual Textile Sustainability Conference which this year takes place in Hamburg, Germany from the 4th to 7th of October, 2016, announced Ecotextile. This year’s event will focus on how the industry will accelerate the growth of Preferred Fiber and Materials. Featuring progressive sessions led by the world’s foremost thought leaders as well as hands-on learning and networking opportunities.

According to past conference surveys, networking is one of the most important reasons to attend the Textile Exchange Conference. To help facilitate the expanded and thoughtfully placed networking opportunities throughout the conference, TE is pleased to provide a tool to connect delegate to delegate.

To protect the privacy of all delegates, only registered attendees can see the names of other attendees. Once signed in, the Attendee Directory displays a list of the many industry leaders who will also be attending. This tool allows you to contact and request an appointment with anyone you choose. That person will receive the request and will have the option to accept, decline, or request a different time.

Speakers confirmed so far include Nicholas Mallos, director at the Trash Free Seas Program which is concerned with ocean conservancy, Rahul Bhajekar, director standards development and quality assurance from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Stefan Dierks, head of CR product & strategy with German retailer Tchibo, and Tamar Hoek, senior program manager textiles with Solidaridad. The annual event brings together textile professionals from around the globe to share progress, knowledge, and best practices
