Switzerland: Bio Marché – a magnet for the public

The Swiss Bio Marché again proved to be a powerful attraction. Around 200 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors turned the little town of Zofingen into the Swiss organic capital for the eighteenth time.

The traditional Bio Marché, Switzerland's biggest open air organic fair for the public, is held annually at the end of June in the smart old district in Zofingen. Not only all kinds of organic culinary delights from the region were offered by the exhibitors – on display were also natural cosmetics, natural textiles, craft objects and a lot more besides.

A special attraction for families and children was a petting zoo, and another highlight was the organic garden in the middle of the old town. The wide variety of activities in the supporting programme with its street musicians and jugglers meant that all the visitors got their money's worth. Bio Marché is a flagship event of the Swiss organic industry.
