Sonett: New product certifications

by Editor (comments: 0)

Sonett, a pioneer in ecological detergents, is changing its product certifications. Instead of Ecogarantie, the company now relies on the standards NCP (Nature Care Product) for detergents and NCS (Natural Cosmetic Standard) for cosmetics.

For almost 15 years, since the creation of the Belgian Ecogarantie label, Sonett cosmetics, disinfectants, detergents and cleaners have been certified according to this standard. "Due to changes in company law at the Belgian standard owner of Ecogarantie, Probila Unitrab, we decided to make the change," explains Beate Oberdorfer, managing director of the company. The standard owner of NCP and NCS is the Gesellschaft für angewandte Wirtschaftsethik (GfaW) (English: Society of Applied Ethics in Business) in Hesse, Germany. "This relatively young standard now meets our high quality standards more than ecogarantie", explains Oberdorfer.

The conversion of the labels began in mid-2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. "The transition will be smooth", Oberdorfer announced.
