Organic milk sales are on the rise in the US. Rutter’s Diary seems to have noticed this development and is now beginning to sell an own line of organic milk. In early August, the organic milk came in stores in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
As Rick Miller, sales and marketing manager of Rutter’s states, the company spent two years in researching the market and preparing to launch the product. The York Daily Record reports, that the company obtains its milk from six organic-certified dairy farms in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Even though more expensive, more and more consumers tend to purchase organic milk instead of its conventional equivalent. Zain Akbari, an analyst at Morningstar presumes, that it can make them feel to do something healthy without having to stick to a fully organic diet.
