Today, on 25 February 2021 from 14h-15h30, participants are invited to exchange with policy makers on the challenges and opportunities for an agroecological transition in Europe. Interested parties can still register via Zoom.

In the context of the CAP reform and the Farm to Fork strategy, what challenges and opportunities does land policy offer for an agroecological transition in Europe? The seminar will focus on the central role that land plays in this transition. It will discuss how an agroecological transition can accelerate with the support of public policies at different levels and how they interact with ongoing European policy frameworks around agriculture and food.

The seminar is timed with the launch of a new report, Roots of Resilience, released by the Nyéléni Europe and Central Asia food sovereignty movement in collaboration with the members of the Innovative Land Strategies partnership. This report makes a number of recommendations for how agroecology and democratic land control can take root in Europe. These recommendations will be presented during the seminar.
