Pure Taste Group Germany: New managing director

Hans-Ulrich Schatz has been a member of the Pure Taste Group (Lebensbaum) management board since 1st October.

Along with Ulrich Walter and Dr. Achim Mayer, the new member of management brings a wealth of experience: Hans-Ulrich Schatz was a board member and managing director of Laurens Spethmann Holding (LSH). The family business in Seevetal produces and sells tea, bars, sweeteners and cereals through its subsidiaries. The tea brands include Meßmer, Milford and Onno Behrends. Tea is the most important business segment, accounting for 70% of total sales. LSH AG & Co. KG generated sales revenues of more than 280 million euros in 2016.

Pure Taste Group GmbH & Co. KG (PTG), known under the German name Lebensbaum, achieved a turnover of 62 million euros in 2017 with the production of tea, coffee and spices in organic quality. PTG is a medium-sized group of companies, the majority of which is owned by the Ulrich Walter family. The group includes Ulrich Walter GmbH, Niehoffs Kaffeerösterei GmbH and BiologX GmbH. In total, more than 200 specialists work at the two German company locations Diepholz and Gronau. Lebensbaum is the market leader in the German organic specialist trade for tea, coffee and spices. In addition to the Lebensbaum brand, PTG also produces for other well-known organic brands.
