Organic Monitor Re-launched as Ecovia Intelligence

This month sees Organic Monitor changing its name to  Ecovia Intelligence. Well known in the organic world for its focus on ethical and sustainable development, Organic Monitor was founded in 2001 to assist operators in the organic products industry by providing business intelligence.

It soon grew to cover related industries, such as  health, natural personal care, fair trade and ethical products. It established itself as a provider of specialist market research, business and technical consulting and training and also became an organiser of seminars and workshops. Continuing these services, the first seminars and workshops undertaken by the re-branded organisation will take place at upcoming industry events like Cosmoprof Bologna, Natural Products New Zealand Summit, Natural & Organic Products Europe and IN-Cosmetics Global.

The organisation is playing an increasingly important role: for the last 8 years it has been hosting sustainability summits in Europe, North and Latin America and the Asia-Pacific. It is at these summits that key stake-holders come together to discuss  vital sustainability issues faced by the  food, cosmetics and cleaning product industries.

The firm's new name reflects this wider range of specialist activities and responses to the needs of diverse industries. So re-branding represents a new chapter in the ongoing development of the firm. The remit has expanded but the original commitment remains, as founder and president Amarjit Sahota explains: “Ecovia Intelligence will continue to encourage sustainable development in our specialist industries. Organic, as the most sustainable form of agriculture, is a core part of our corporate DNA and will remain a key focus.”
