Nordic Organic Food Fair in Scandinavia

The latest organically certified food products and beverages will be presented in Malmö, Sweden, from 13th to 14th November. In cooperation with Eco Life Scandinavia, 500 exhibitors from various countries will be participating at the combined trade fairs.

The Nordic Organic Food Fair is an industry event for retailers that takes place on the premises on MalmöMässan. New products presented at the fair include lavender syrup, sun-dried tomato spread, pea protein balls, chia smoothies, wheat and seed pasta, CBD infusion drinks, red wine cheese and a variety of Greek organic olive oils and honey.

Some of the new products presented at the trade fair 2019 in short:

Coco Wilson presents an organic raw coconut water with CBD. It is made from aromatic, fresh coconut water from Nam Hom coconuts in Thailand and pure CBD. According to the manufacturer, this “health drink” can be used as a muscle building drink after training (Booth K11A)

Obsthof Retter launches its handmade organic root elixir in the flavours ginger and curcumin. Among the ingredients prepared in a fruit factory are fresh ginger, turmeric, lime, lemon, orange, apple, hemp, sage, juniper berries and raw cane sugar (booth G41).

Ferm Kombucha introduces its Kombucha in tins. This beverage offering a healthy alternative to alcoholic and classic sugary drinks comes in the flavours ginger lemongrass, mandarin star anise, mint lavender and blueberry cassis (booth J92)

Sonnentor launches Lebkuchen Time Tea and Cinnamon Magic Tea. These popular Christmas flavours are the latest tea blends this season and a welcome change from classic fruit teas (booth G13).

Woccoco Fine Foods launches Tempeh, seasoned with ginger and tamari. This protein- and fibre-rich meat alternative is cholesterol-free, rich in vitamins B2, B3 and B5, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc (booth M34).

Amvrosia Gourmet announces the Sundried Tomato Spread, which is perfect for bagels, sandwiches or grilled chicken. The spread combines the sweetness and flavor of sun-dried tomatoes with a light basil flavor (booth J31C).

Öun Drinks presents its organic gooseberry sparkling drink from Saaremaa, Estonia’s largest island. It is made from organic apple juice mixed with gooseberries. The beverages comes in 330ml and 750ml bottles (booth F71G).

Mellifera Honey introduces its organic honey with raspberry. Rich in antioxidants, it is an alternative to jams loaded with sugar and preservatives. It is raw and unprocessed to preserve its vital enzymes, amino acids and vitamins (booth H93).

Vamvalis Foods S.A. launches Terrabites sesame squares made from natural ingredients. The new sesame snack line is available in four flavours: sesame with Chia, sesame linseed, sesame red quinoa and sesame coconut (booth F46).

Sana Plant Extract SRL introduces its organic syrup Aronia and Lavender. Aronia and lavender syrup are low in sugar and have a ripe cherry taste (booth H64A).

Culterra Olive Oil launches its Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil from Sitia in Crete, Greece, which is produced with an extremely low acidity (0.3) and a fruity bitter but slightly spicy taste (booth H31E).

The Choco Group UAB introduces Mulate organic chocolate spreads. The spreads were created by an internationally awarded bean bar manufacturer and are available in organic chocolate with black currant, caramel, tahini, nuts or hemp (booth L1).

Si-Mel Savidakis & Co presents Melaion – Organic Cretan Thyme Honey and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The Savidakis family has revived an extraordinary tradition by mixing honey with olive oil balls (booth H31D).

The company Karpos presents its gourmet ready meal "Summer tomatoes" with rice. Cooked from fresh ingredients following traditional Mediterranean recipes, the meal is free of artificial additives, flavour enhancers, preservatives or concentrates (booth J31J).

Runakay Plus launches its Superfood breakfast in 250ml glass bottles for take away. This balanced vegan superfood shake is healthy, practical and made from a mixture of almonds, fruit and quinoa sweetened with dates.  The flavours include: Cocoa, coffee, Matcha tea and fruit mix (booth M60).

EOS Nutrisolution presents its Fruit & Carrot Snack Bar, made without added sugar from 70 percent fruit and 12 percent vegetables. The entire range of 100% natural, functional products is also be on display (booth K31D).

IMS Höllinger GMBH launches organic lemongrass and rosemary syrup as well as an organic lemongrass and rosemary spray soft drink. Rosemary is a classic of Mediterranean cuisine and, in combination with refreshing lemon grass, gives it an aromatic flavour (Stand G41E).

Crespí Mallorca Spices presents its Picalgas range of organic nuts, spices and algae for seasoning dishes (stand K41C).

Artemisia Estates Olive Oil presents Song of Odysseus, a delicate and complex extra virgin olive oil with low acidity. This heart-healthy oil can add the finishing touches to dishes or enrich daily cuisine (Stand H31G).

Cordero Organic S.L. presents its high quality organic lamb. The whole body consists of the most tasteful and delicate parts of the lamb: leg, shoulder, flank, neck and frame. It is also available with Halal and Kosher certification (Stand K41D).

Yanni's Olive Grove launches its sun-dried green olive snack with fruits. This low-salt and naturally sweet snack can be added to any dish.

Fair trade in the South of Sweden

The venue MalmöMässan in Malmö is easily accessible by a number of different means of transport. The train station is three minutes from the city centre, from where you can reach Copenhagen Airport in 12 minutes, Malmö city centre in three minutes and Copenhagen central station in 24 minutes.

Biofach South East Asia: Successful second round

From 11 to 14 July 2019, the Impact Exhibition Center in Bangkok became the key hub for South-East Asia’s organic industry. As the promoters reported, Biofach South East Asia and Natural Expo South East Asia brought attracted 24,196 visitors, who were presented with a wide range of special display areas, high-calibre conference programme and a royal visit.
