An era is coming to an end for the German manufacturer of organic fruit bars, marzipan and confectionery products. After almost two decades, managing director Friedrich Lange has handed over his post to Stefan Goldhorn.
Stefan Goldhorn is now in charge of the organic confectionery manufacturer Lubs. The 46-year-old has been on board with the Lübeck-based company since the beginning of March. At the end of April he replaced Friedrich Lange, who in his 18 years as Managing Director of Lubs has developed from a small business into a medium-sized company and is now retiring at the age of 66, the company announced.
In a statement, Lubs praised the former Managing Director Lange as someone who has remained true to his principles over all these years and has always promoted organic farming, economic activity in harmony with nature and fair trade. Friedrich Lange has been active in the organic industry for 30 years.
His successor Goldhorn grew up with organic food for family reasons, Lubs announced. He has been active in various areas of the food industry for more than 20 years, with "a lot of experience in food production as well as in the management of organic certified production companies".
Before moving to Lübeck, Goldhorn was, among other things, an authorized signatory at the Berlin pizza and ready meals manufacturer Freiberger. He is a trained chef and subsequently studied food technology.
