Natural Cosmetics Conference: Corona writes the future

Under the motto "Sustainability is the new luxury" participants of the 13th Natural Cosmetics Conference will meet in Berlin on 29 and 30 September 2020. On the agenda are corona-related industry developments and other interesting topics.

Expert discussions, talks and speaker contributions in German and English are planned for the two congress days. Janine Steeger will once again be the moderator of the event.

Pandemic as development driver

Due to the current situation, the thematic focus is on the effects of the corona pandemic on the natural cosmetics industry: “The Corona crisis presents unprecedented challenges for manufacturers, brands and retail“, states Wolf Lüdge, host of the conference. “The necessity for rapid action and flexibility – and digitalization as the benchmark for the ability to act in times of crises – have gained new significance during the Corona year 2020.“

Beauty blogger and natural cosmetics expert Julia Keith, also looks at the crisis from a customer perspective: “[Trends] such as ’scientific beauty’ are gaining ground, ingredients are increasingly questioned as to their effect on the skin. At the same time, in China for example, where at this time it seems the worst of the crisis has been overcome, it is becoming obvious that the demand for natural and organic cosmetics and sustainable cosmetics is increasing. Now the natural and organic cosmetic companies are more than ever faced with the challenge of focusing on the balancing act between science, safety and naturalness.“

Currently, the congress will take place as planned in Berlin according to the organizer.
