Food Tank, in partnership with American University, will hold a two-day summit, Wednesday, starting the 20th of April to Thursday the 21st April 2016. The Summit will take place at the Greenberg Theatre, Washington D.C.. The event will bring together more than 70 expert speakers from the food and agriculture field: researchers, farmers, chefs, policy makers, government officials, and students. They will come together for panels on topics including; nourishing the planet, improving nutrient density, the future of organic, investing in the food movement, legislating change in the food system, and more.

The yearly Food Tank event will feature interactive panels moderated by top food journalists, networking, and delicious food. This is the first in a series of four two-day Summits in 2016 which will bring together some the world’s most impactful food system leaders. The entire two-day event (program) will be live streamed on www.FoodTank.com. Food Tank is focused on building a global community for safe, healthy, nourished eaters and also creates networks of people, organizations, and content that push for food system change.

Last year's Food Tank Summit in partnership with the George Washington University brought together 400 in-person attendees (completely sold out) from more than 25 states. There were an additional 15,520 livestream participants from more than 125 countries. This year, Food Tank is quadrupling the reach by hosting additional summits in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Chicago, Illinois, and Sacramento, CA.
