In the Jungle of Labels

Gluten-free, paraben-free, SLS-free and phthalate-free. These are just some of the many variations of “Free from” label on the market right now. With one in ten Americans suffering from some kind of (food) allergy or sensitivity, labelling product as clean has become a major trend in the food and personal care industry. According to Organic Monitor, over 10% of natural personal care products are now certified or labelled.
Non-GMO is the fastest growing label on personal care products as brands want to show the costumer transparency in the ever increasing list of ingredients. Even large and established brands such as Dr. Bronner’s are using the label to assure their buyers of the quality of their products.
