India: Bangalore Organic Mart - Savayeva Santhe

Bangalore is the organic hub of India and has the highest sales of organic food products as well as the largest number of organic outlets growing at the rate of 35-40% per year.

 The International Competence Center for Organic Agriculture ICCOA wants to promote organic agriculture and agri-business, the organisation has taken the initiative to organize and co-ordinate a monthly fair for organic products/produce. „In order to enable and sustain high growth rates the retail segment needs to promote organic markets vigorously and innovatively to reach out to more and more consumers regularly“, states ICCOA.

Therefore, ICCOA has taken the initiative to organise and co-ordinate a monthly fair for organic products/produce: Bangalore Organic Mart - Savayeva Santhe.

This B2C event will focus on ‘Organic Retailing’ and will be continued as a monthly event running throughout the year. A two day consumer - centric event, with over 35-40 Organic companies/ brands and farmer & farmer groups exhibiting a wide range of products/vegetables/fruits etc along with other side events on organic awareness- workshop on zero waste management and various activities for kids on environmental sustainability . The aim is to promote green consumerism and to shift towards an ecologically sustainable food system for all.
