IFOAM - Organics International seeks new World Board members

In September, a new World Board will be elected at the General Assembly of the globally active organic association. The deadline for applications for the honorary position is 15 April 2021.

IFOAM - Organics International is calling for candidates for membership of the new World Board. Interested parties can still apply for the honorary position on the board until 15 April. The election of candidates for the new World Board period from 2021 to 2024 will take place on 11 and 12 September at the next General Assembly in Rennes, France.

The World Board consists of a team of ten IFOAM members from around the world and is elected democratically by IFOAM - Organics International members every three years. At the end of the term, the World Board reports its findings to the international members.

Tasks of the World Board Members:

• Guiding the implementation of the Organizational Strategy and Organic 3.0
• Supporting fundraising activities
• Representing IFOAM – Organics International at international events

The election of the new World Board was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed by one year due to the pandemic. Due to this, IFOAM - Organics International decided to put the candidature for the World Board out to tender again.
