IFOAM launches its new strategic plan

After two years of discussion internally and with stakeholders, IFOAM - Organics International launches its new strategic plan. "The new plan is an evolutionary development and it sharpens at the same time the actions for impact towards the vision. It is a result of careful analyses and of strategic work of the World Board that was advised by stakeholders inside and outside the organic movement", announce IFOAM President André Leu and Director Marcus Arbenz. The initiation for this new plan came from the General Assembly 2014 in Istanbul and the content is based on the Organic 3.0 developments in the organic movement. 

Agent of Change

IFOAM – Organics International develops from initially being a member support body to a competence center for organic development into an Agent of Change on behalf of its Membership. The worldwide roof association for the organic movement has reformed its structures in order to concentrate its activities along this new strategic plan, which is organized in three pillars of action: 1) Capacity building for enhancing Supply, 2) Campaigning for increase of Demand and 3) Advocating for Policy & Guarantee systems that are conducive to organic developments, explains the note.

The World Board offers several webinars to discuss this plan with members and friends and get their views on that move.
