6th BioBorrel in Amsterdam: Speakers and subjects announced

BioBorrel is a Dutch event series taking up on topics concerning the organic sector.

On 18th June 2018, the sixth edition of BioBorrel will be held at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam at 6 pm. By providing the sector with an environment and a platform to discuss relevant questions concerning organic trade, agriculture and supply chains, the seminar series takes up on the organic branch’s continuous growth.

This time, Christophe Barnouin, CEO of Wessanen, will give a short talk titled “Wessanen Connecting to Nature – defining a vision for sustainability beyond organic”. In addition to that, Stichting EKO-keurmerk board member Ronald van Marlen will present his ideas on the topic “Organic at a Crossroad - a growing market versus the original organic standards”. The event will be concluded by a discussion including all participants as well as the possibility to network with other stakeholders.

Initiated by Eymert van Manen of Het Blauwe Huis, Karst Kooistra of Landgoed Bleijendijk, Kees van Zelderen of Biohuis as well as Thomas van Hasselt (organic corn dealer), BioBorrel addresses any professionals related to the organic sector such as farmers, processors, producers as well as retailers.
