Germany's best organic shops have been chosen

At BioFach international trade fair this year's winners of the award "Best Organic Shop" were announce. They were  selected by the readers of the magazine Schrot&Korn, that is available in more than 2,000 organic shops and organic supermarkets in Germany.

Nearly 50,000 consumers voted and chose the best organic shops in Germany. The coveted Schrot&Korn Award Ear of Wheat goes to Bavaria, Rhineland Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg, Northrhine Westphalia and Hesse.

Picture: Around 600 people were the audience at the gala event also VIPs like Mr. Klaus Töpfer and Ms Renate Künast former minister of agriculture in Germany.

A total of 2,337 organic shops across the whole of Germany were evaluated by their customers. Alongside the five winners of gold awards with best marks for overall impression, 191 organic shops received a gold, silver or bronze certificate.

They were all honoured during a gala at BioFach in Nuremberg.
