Fair week in Germany

The 15th Fair Week will take place from 16 to 30 September 2016. This year, the event will focus around the effects of fair trade. The producers’ tour represents an other highlight of the Fairtrade Week. This time sales representatives from Peru, Thailand and Lebanon will tour for two weeks through Germany and will report firsthand about the effects of fair trade.

The Fair Week is the biggest week of action on fair trade in Germany. They took place in 2001 for the first time and is carried out every year since 2003 in the second half of September. The Fair Week informs their annual 2000-2500 events on fair trade in Germany and worldwide.

Organizers of Fair Week is the Fair Trade Forum in cooperation with TransFair and the world shop roof federation. The planning and implementation of the year around 2,000 to 2,500 actions carried out by local groups and organizations, such as world shops, action groups, church groups, businesses, supermarkets, Fairtrade schools or catering establishments. The highlight of the fair week form the producer tours, will be invited in the framework of representative / inside of trading partners to a round trip. Hold nationwide lectures, attend events and talks with politicians / and journalists / inside.

The Fair Trade Week 2016, we want to shed light on effects of fair trade in the North and South and identify courses of action for the policy and any / n Individual / n. We have again invited trading partners from different countries, the events of the effects and how to report on the spot at around 100 and look forward to sharing it with you.
