EU and Ukraine celebrate EU Organic Day on September 23

On September 23, Ukraine will celebrate the Organic Day together with the European Union. The aim is to implement the European Green Deal in Ukraine and to raise awareness about Ukrainian organic products. Additionally, the key role of organic agriculture in the transition to sustainable production and consumption in Ukraine will be outlined.

An online conference will take place that is organized by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” which starts at 10 am. Please find the full program of and the registration for the online conference here.

Farm to Fork Strategy and EU Biodiversity

The EU Organic Day was created on September 23, 2021, by the European Parliament, European Council and European Commission. It is part of the Action Plan for the development of organic production in the EU with the goal of increasing consumption of organic products and expanding organic production. Furthermore, it includes the Farm to Fork strategy of the EU and the EU Biodiversity Strategy.
