European research into organic farming is being continued with the Core Organic Cofund programme. In spring 2018, twelve new research projects were launched, which will be carried out jointly by researchers from at least three European countries. German research institutions are also involved in seven of the eleven projects. They receive funds from the Federal Programme for Organic Agriculture and other forms of sustainable agriculture (BÖLN). In terms of content, the projects financed by BÖLN with German participation are concerned with organic fruit growing, animal husbandry and organic processing. Further information on all projects can be found at www.coreorganiccofund.org.
