Plans for the second edition of Organic Food Iberia are now well underway. Since its successful launch edition six months ago, more than 70 % of its exhibition space for 2020 is already booked – with pavilions from the USA, Korea, France, and Austria confirmed.

Taking place at IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid, Spain, on 3-4 June, Organic Food Iberia will showcase organic food and drink from across the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of the world.  It’s expected to welcome 7,000 organic food retailers, multiple health stores owners, supermarket buyers, distributors and wholesalers – who’ll be there to see and sample products from over 600 richly-diverse exhibitors.

Organic from around the world

Thanks to its collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), and the Inter-American Commission on Organic Agriculture (CIAO), the companies will have a 50 sqm pavilion at the show.  This new association promotes the expansion of organic markets in America and, for the first time, opens new business opportunities with European buyers.

As well as Austria and France, the rest of Europe is also strongly represented.  Brands from Bulgaria, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Greece, and the UK will showcase their latest ranges to the Spanish market.  These include: Linwoods, Raw & Wild, Vivani / iChoc-EcoFinia, Balviten Gluten Free, Tradin Organic, Victoria Farm, Alma & Valor, BVBA Kriket, Sotto Le Stelle, Aromatech, and many more.

Returning regions

Reflecting Spain’s strong position as world-leaders in organic, visitors can discover regional pavilions from Madrid, Navarra, La Rioja, Galicia, Valencian Community, and (new for 2020) Castilla La Mancha.  Andalucía will also return with a 100 producer-strong pavilion (hosted with the support of leading organic association Ecovalia).

Local producers and distributors to see include: Delicious & Sons (sauces and pestos), Biocop (organic products distributor), Levante Import Export (dried fruits and nuts), Anecoop S. Coop(fruit, vegetables and salad), Alternativa 3 (teas and coffee) Ekotrebol (soft drinks, olive oil and wines), Gourmundo (wine, champagne, spirits and delicacies), Capsa Food (dairy products), Herbes De La Conca (herbs and chocolate), Runakay Plus (superfood drinks), Chocolates Solé, Comfresh Iberian (salad and vegetables), and more.

Show attractions

The event will feature three dedicated seminar theatres (the Organic Theatre, La Cocina’s Kitchen Theatre, and Eco Living & Beauty Theatre), an Organic Wine Zone, the Innovation Zone – featuring the next wave of bestselling products, and the Eco & Organic Awards Iberia.

Further information about seminars will be released during the spring, as well as more details about features, innovations and partnerships, announce the hosts. More information here: www.organicfoodiberia.com and www.ecolivingiberia.com.
