Call to Action: GFGF European Days of Action in October

The Good Food, Good Farmers Campaign calls for citizens and stakeholders of the organic sector to support their movement by contributing to the European Days of Action 2018 on the last weekend (27^th/28^th) of October.

With this call to action, the campaigners ask to “turn (…) cooking pots into a symbol for Europe’s good food and farming”. Thereby, all Europeans are welcome to participate by organizing demonstrations, a protest picnic or choosing any other way of showing the food and farming future the want and need.

Background

The Good Food, Good Farming campaign was launched in 2012 to mobilise citizens to take actions, and demand good food and good farming across Europe. The biggest campaign action to date was the Good Food March. Organised together with the European Milk Board, European Coordination Via Campesina, Friends of the Earth Europe, IFOAM EU Group, Meine Landwirtschaft, Groupe PAC 2013 and Slow Food, the 2012 event saw farmers, consumers and young people from across Europe travel to Brussels.
