Biomondo, the trading platform for Swiss organic agriculture, is expanding its functions by aiming for additional target groups: smaller stores, catering and processing businesses. So direct marketing in organic agriculture will be further strengthened by this additional sales channel.

1.600 organic farms have already registered at the online marketplace for Swiss organic agriculture. New functions are now available to them, like order processing directly on, pricing per order unit or per kilogram/liter, and an interface to the Swiss nutritional value table. Those new functions will guarantee a smooth and target-group-oriented cooperation with buyers of larger quantities, according to Biomondo.

Organic farms can get their products known

The market place has been online since May 2021. It started as a new edition of the organic exchange and was expanded in November 2021 by including the functions of the former Knospehof website, operated by Bio Suisse.

Through the platform, farms can reach different customer groups as the market place is an important tool for promoting direct marketing. Organic farms with good quality products and an inspiring story are invited to register and make their products and services known  not only to gastronomy and trade, but also to the general public.
