B Corps launch event in Europe

B Corps are emerging around the world: there are now over 1,200 B Corps in 38 countries. The growth of this movement is also visible in Europe – there are 40 B Corps in ten countries across Europe, among which are Ecover, Triodos Bank, and Fairphone, for example. The launch of B Corps in Europe took place in Amsterdam on 21 April.

Also in Amsterdam, on 22 April 2015, the founding class of the European B Corps took place called Celebrate the Changemakers. The dynamic program featured inspiring international speakers and interactive workshops. The crowd was a mix of worldwide B Corporations, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, opinion leaders, governmental representatives, and like-minded changemakers.

B Corps are certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
