European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality

Earth - European Alliance of Responsible Tourism and Hospitality - is the first European network for sustainable tourism. It was officially launched in October during the important international fair for responsible tourism in Brussels. Among the countries participating are Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Romania and Albania as well as partners coming from China, Nepal, Mongolia, Brazil and Senegal.
 

Earth promotes the idea of responsible tourism in all European countries and coordinates the activities of the members on improving the quality of trips from an ethical viewpoint through the adoption of good practices inspired by the principles of responsible tourism. Ensuring the collaboration between responsible tourism operators and communities in the Southern part of the world and their organisations and dialoguing with public European, national and local institutions on defining tourism development policies based on the principles of sustainable development and responsibility are also important subjects for the network.
