International Conference on Sustainable World Food Supply

The Sustainable Food Supply Foundation is organising the two-day conference Sustainable World Food Supply in cooperation with embassies, farmers organizations and governmental representatives of European, Asian, African and Latin American countries, the United Nations, the World Bank, the IFAP, scientific institutes and other organizations. At the conference on 15 and 16 October 2015 in the Netherlands, special attention will be given to soil, ecology and sustainable supply of water and energy. The year 2015 is particular for the purposes of the meeting, because that year has been declared International Year of Soils by the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Aim of the conference is to stimulate a broadly supported vision on a sustainable world food supply that is based on the interest of big and small farms as well as on the environment and biodiversity. During the conference, keynote speakers of several countries of the continents mentioned above will have the opportunity to present their actually realized project examples, showing that a sustainable and regional approach pays off and motivates others.
