UK: Soil Association Easter Egg Hunt

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

Over thirty farms around the UK are taking part in the Soil Association Easter Egg Hunt from April 5 to 13, 2009, with delicious organic chocolate egg prizes from Green & Blacks. After hunting for Easter eggs, the rest of the day can be spent exploring the farm and sampling some local organic produce. There are lots of extra activities taking place throughout the week, ranging from storytelling and face painting to meeting the farm animals.

Soil Association director Patrick Holden (picture) said, “This is a great opportunity to learn about farming first-hand and get reconnected with your food and the local countryside where it comes from. Teaching children about the seasons and where their food is grown will give more meaning to mealtimes.” For dates and more information on farms taking part: www.soilassociation.org/easter
