Pro Natura announces acquisition of Bioprim

Located in Perpignan, between the French and Spanish agricultural regions, Bioprim has set up and organised its own fruit and vegetable supply chains. The company has been a major player in the organic fruit and vegetable market for more than 20 years, delivering their produce from its excellent geographical location to its European clients. 

Pro Natura, who is the European leader in the distribution of organic fruit and vegetables with an average annual growth rate of 20 %, works with a staff of 192 employees at its various marketing and production sites in the Provence and the Brittany, in Belgium, Morocco, Togo and in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Because of the acquisition of Bioprim, the company will be able to achieve greater proximity to its clients and to extend its product range. A total turnover of € 80 million is expected for 2007.

Pro Natura’s founder and manager Henri de Pazzis explained that the company’s ambitions had given him the means to promote his fundamental values, which had originally led him to set up the company in 1987, namely organic farming and ecological and health related values.
