NürnbergMesse Business delegation visits Chinese organic market and BioFach China

"Traders, watch out! Still free places available", announced NürnbergMesse China. The deadline for application to the business delegation will be April 20, 2013.

China’s interest in organic food, natural cosmetics and natural textiles is growing unabated. The nation is an important sourcing country, but also organic manufacturers and retailers are developing very well. From May 23-25 the biggest and most authoritative organic exhibition in Asia, BioFach China, will be held at INTEX Shanghai. NürnbergMesse China, the Chinese subsidiary of NürnbergMesse Group, therefore has arranged a business delegation trip from May 21-28 to help interested companies from abroad knowing more about the Chinese organic market as well as the current situation of the Chinese organic industry. The organizer has picked representative organic producers and processors as well as retailers in China for the visit of the business delegation. This year’s program for example includes a visit to Haikele, the biggest organic chain store in Shanghai, but also visits to several supermarkets such as Carrefour, Ole and Cityshop
 (a high-end supermarket with some imported organic products). Local Farms and certifiers, a leading soy manufacturer, an organic wholesaler and an internet shopping platform will also be visited during the week. Of course, two days are reserved for BioFach China exhibition in Shanghai (picture).

The tour will be guided by Yinghui Zhang-Carraro, who is involved in the organic sector since 2008. Currently she is working as a freelancer for this online-magazine www.organic-market.info and reports from the organic industry in China. Moreover, Yinghui Zhang-Carraro organized Beijing’s first (organic) farmers’ market in 2010 and helped starting the first organic school lunch in China at Day Star Academy Beijing.
