Impact Business Award

GIZ, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, has announced the winners of the Impact Business Award. From the provision of solar products to off-grid communities in India to the production of organic pharmaceutical and textile products in Egypt, the international jury panel has selected five exemplary business models that present innovative products, services and technologies for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in developing and emerging countries.

The five winners include nonprofit organisations, small and medium size enterprises and multinational players. Award winners come from Egypt, Ghana, Uganda, Cambodia and India. Each winner is awarded with a 5,000 euro prize to be spent on expanding their climate technologies and green activities. Winners will have the opportunity to present their work to influential audiences and will be rewarded at the occasion of the 15th International Business Forum in 2012.
