Green & Black's Organic Chocolate looking for ambassadors

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

Green & Black's Organic Chocolate has announced its first ever Global Ambassador Program. The program will send ten Americans and UK residents on a 14 day expedition in the depths of the Dominican Republic, according to PR Newswire. Successful applicants will serve as Global Ambassadors on behalf of Green & Black's Organic Chocolate, become an integral part of a local cocoa farming community in the Dominican Republic, and help build a gravity-fed water system to ensure that the residents of the community have consistent access to fresh, drinkable water.

Qualifying ambassadors will be those who have made a difference in their own local communities and are interested in expanding their aid to help Green & Black's improve the Dominican cocoa farming community. Until 3 January 2011, interested individuals can visit the Green & Black's US Facebook page to complete two essay questions and submit a picture showcasing support for their local cause. Winners will be announced on 21 January 2011, and the Dominican Republic experience will take place from 26 March 2011 to 9 April 2011. Each of the winning applicants will receive US$ 1,000 for a local-community building cause of their choice.
