Florence, Ecor and B’IO at Terra Futura

As Greenplanet reports, Ecor Spa, the largest Italian distributing company of organic products and B’io, an association of more than 200 specialized stores in Italy, were present at the national Fair of Sustainability “Terra Futura”. The fair took place at the “Fortezza Da Basso” in Florence, Italy from March 31 to April 2, 2006. The fair brought together cultural reflections on subjects like the development and the experience to protect the life on earth and the environment. Ecor and B’IO will included their expert knowledge about transparency to the fair. At last year’s fair, producers, distributors and retailers joined together to offer information on the origin, the quality and the price of more than 100 organic products to the consumer. The products are marked with tags to give the visitors valuable information about the prices which include the partition, the story and the methods of the companies’ work.
This system of information was rewarded with an increase of sale of 15 % in 2005 (compared to 2004) and of 35 % in the first two months of 2006. At the stand of B’io, a new communication campaign for retailers was introduced. (source: Bollettino Bio No. 239)
