Germany: Ethical Fashion and more at Fair Trade & Friends

The Fair Trade & Friends exhibition, taking place at Messe Westfalenhallen in Dortmund from 5 -7 September 2014, provides a good overview of the growing market of fair trade. Classic products and services from the fair trade sector as well as new and innovative ecologically and socially compatible consumer products can be found there. The event offers a successful platform for entrepreneurs, institutions and campaigns that represent fair trade and all its related industries.
 

One main objective of the fair is to promote ethical fashion and to highlight its different approaches. Trade visitors and end consumers alike can discover established companies as well as innovative young designers, both producing their clothing using fairly traded and certified organic cotton. The ‘friends’ mentioned in the name of the fair stand for topics such as community consumption and recycling/upcycling. Furthermore, ecological investment and sustainable tourism (CSR certified) create exciting crossover effects at the fair and add to the mix of features. 
 

Fair Trade & Friends is Germanys biggest fair for Fair Trade. It will be open on Friday, 5. September and Saturday, 6. September from 10.00 to 18.00, and on Sunday, 7.
