Scientific Seminar on Organic Food – Call for abstracts

The Scientific Seminar on Organic Food 2014 – Open, Critical and Collaborative Approaches - takes place in Mikkeli, Finland, on 5-7 November 2014. It is aimed at researchers and other experts of the whole food chain as well as at politicians and civil servants for sharing their expertise and for their collaboration. Speakers of the seminar are outstanding researchers from Finland, other European countries and Canada.
 

The organizers invite all participants to submit their abstracts for the seminar by 30 September 2014. Invited speakers' and participants' abstracts will be published on the Scientific Seminar on Organic Food 2014 review. Early bird seminar fees apply for those registering before 30 September. Deadline for registrations is 15 October. Special fees are applied for students.
 

Themes of the seminar are: Current trends of organic food research; quality and origin of organic food; health reputation of organic food; and organic food and society. The seminar is organized by the Finnish Organic Research Institute (Luomuinstituutti), a multidisciplinary research network organization. The institute supports the food chain and promotes organic food production in Finland by research, science communication, education, and development projects.
