USA: CCOF Annual Convention

CCOF's Annual Convention will take place in Ventura, California, USA, from 18 to 20 February 2010. It will start with the CCOF Annual Meeting and welcoming reception featuring organic products from throughout the Ventura/Oxnard area. This year's convention agenda focuses on bringing products to the market and expanding the organic marketplace.

Keynot speakers include Rayne Pegg of USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service. Valuable knowledge can be gained by the participants, which can be applied immediately on the farm or operation and in marketing plans. Networking with other organic producers, processors, handlers, and supporting industries is also encouraged during the event. An exhibitor showcase will feature organic suppliers.
 

Hands-on workshops and panel presentations will take place on 19 February 2011, with experts in five market areas: Wholesale / Distributor / Retail, Farmers' Markets, CSAs, Chef / Restaurants / Schools, and Export Markets. On 20 February 2011, the popular tour of local CCOF operations in the Ojai Valley, including Earthtrine Farms and Gozo Farms, will take place. The tour will include a tour to the Ojai Valley Certified Farmers' Market and an organic lunch and tour at the Farmer and the Cook Restaurant.
