Brazilian companies to take advantage of the European market

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

Organics Brasil successfully participated in BioFach Nuremberg and reported a result of US$ 16 million in exports for the next 12 months. Eight associates of the Organics Brasil Project were present in a collective stand: MN Própolis, Art da Terra, Chá, Mate Triunfo, Natural Fashion, Nutribotanica, Rio de Una, Surya (picture), and Forestas. Other associates participated with their own stand or in partnership with European customers: Native, Agropalma, Berachah, ABPO, besides the certifiers IBD, Ecocert and IMO. Ten family cooperatives linked to the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) also took part in the fair.

"This year, we noted that demand is growing, especially in the sectors food, cosmetics, textiles and wine, which returned to the pre-crisis levels of 2009. Following the trends of the previous years, the themes and concepts of fair trade, sustainable products, clean energy, food security and social development are increasingly demanded”, Ming Liu, executive coordinator of Organics Brasil, explains. The development and maturation of Brazilian companies in the European market are clearly visible - four companies of Organic Brasil, who are already players in the European market, participated in BioFach with their international distributors. This maturing gives room for a new internationalization of the segment, Mr Liu explains.
