Bioitalia: The Mediterranean Heart of Organic

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

To support the development of organic agriculture and quality in the heart of the Mediterranean, to create new product lines and invest in new markets in foreign countries - these are the tasks of Bioitalia, a syndicate founded in 1994 which has been on the market with unique references for organic companies, thanks to their structure of distribution and marketing ahead of lines.

The last occasion to meet Bioitalia was last November in Naples, the next will be in February at Biofach in Nuremberg. Their presence shows a new road to the Italian agriculture for now and for the future. It is a syndicate with a brand name well-known, with an assiduous information campaign and an effective logistic service located in two places – Buccino and Pollena Trocchia - which offer a space of 5,000 square meters for storing and for national and international shippers. An important aspect is to co-ordinate organic production with modern technology. This concept works well - more companies join in; more and new products are sold. The latest products were a line of biscuits (full grain, spelt, rice, milk and cocoa), an additional pasta line, a rich collection of honey from acacia to eucalyptus and also a carrot juice.

Bioitalia has not only grown within the country, but has also built up a presence on international markets – at the end of 2004 about 60 % of the total turnover. Bioitalia is present on the traditional international markets, but sets foot into Eastern Europe, Brazil and Korea as well, reports Bolletino Bio / Greenplanet.net.
