Greenshowroom and at Ethical Fashion Show Berlin

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

Graphic patterns, ornaments and drapes - the innovative side of green fashion is seen again in the Greenshowroom and at the Ethical Fashion Show. Organised by Messe Frankfurt at the Postbahnhof in Berlin from 19 to 21 January 2015, over 150 labels will be presenting their collections at the two events for the coming winter. Womenswear is dominated by skirts, dresses and coats, while the main emphasis in menswear is on coarse knitted jumpers and waistcoats.

Rough edges that complement each other nicely: the current trends are represented by knitted all-over jumpers from Fortschritt Berlin and Xess+Baba and eyecatchers in the form of handknitted skirts. Using body-hugging drapes, the ESMOD graduate Rahel Guiragossian has created an elegant evening gown in combination with explosive colour patterns. Silkboxx is a label that works with silk printed in an eco-friendly digital process, featuring autumnal themes and strikingly three-dimensional effects.

Aiby Craft opts for flowing transparency in turquoise. Katrien van Hecke offers geometrically cut dresses, made from violence-free silk, with experimental hand printing based on natural dyes such as berries, leaves and wood. Walkboxx uses a fulling technique that adds special surface structures and tweed-like effects to the material. And if anyone wants to get through this winter in style, they’ll enjoy the footwear from Nine to Five and Bourgois Bohème. Bags are the focus of Pira, with the use of natural leather, particularly backpacks with unusual straps, woven and set in pleats. More information on the shows and these as well as other designers is available from the Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show
