The international organic sector meets again from 18–20 September 2014 at BioFach America – All Things Organic in the Baltimore Convention and Exhibition Center. At the organic trade show parallel to the Natural Products Expo East, companies from all over the world showcase organic raw materials and new and established organic products from the food and non-food segments. A good 1,200 exhibitors, including some 150 purely organic companies, and 22,000 attendees are expected. The show stands out for its large share of international exhibitors again in 2014, including a Brazilian and Argentine Pavilion. Applications have also been received from the Netherlands, Italy, France, Greece and Bulgaria. (Pictures: Impressions from a previous edition of the fair)

This year’s accompanying conference program will deal with the following themes: Big Data – The Truth About the Health & Wellness Shopper, Retail Dietitian – Evolving the Retail Food Service Line and Special Diets: Gluten-free and the Paleo Diet. Douglas Tompkins, founder of the Foundation for Deep Ecology, will speak on Deep Ecology, a Natural and Environmental Philosophy. The program is enhanced by various workshops on 17 September 2014, the day before the trade show starts. One highlight is the Next Accelerator Entrepreneur Training Camp. In addition to a presentation on the story of Jeff Church, CEO and co-founder of Suja Juice, the fastest-growing drinks company in the USA, participants can look forward to an intensive exchange of views with experts from industry and retail trade. The aim is to optimize business processes and sales strategies. The Retailer Workshop, which focuses on networking with many retailers from the natural products industry, takes place parallel to the Training Camp. More information is available here.
