Germany: Powerful line-up at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

This is now the sixth time that the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin is presenting trend-setting eco-brands at the ewerk at Berlin-Mitte. From 8 to 10 July 2014, progressive casual and streetwear labels will be showcasing their sustainable fashion designs. As before, the tradeshow is fully booked. A number of new international exhibitors have been added to this year's summer event. The dominant themes will be denim, footwear and upcycling. Visitors can look forward to contemporary green designs and a wide-ranging accompanying programme. After Germany, the most strongly represented exhibitors' nations are Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and France. Running alongside the Greenshowroom, which is held at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski with the emphasis on sustainable high fashion, the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin will have about 120 exhibitors, so that it will be Europe's biggest platform for ecologically produced fair trade fashion during the Berlin Fashion Week. Both events will be organised by Messe Frankfurt

People Tree is a pioneer in eco-fashion and will be presenting its première at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin. In the denim section Pearls of Laja will be a major newcomer. Other powerful denim representatives will include Good Society, Mud Jeans, Nurmi and Sey Organic Jeans. An extensive product range can also be expected in the footwear segment where Airbox, Grand Step Shoes, Oat, Slowers and – for the first time – the Portuguese label Ultrashoes will be represented. Another company that will have its own stand for the first time will be L’Herbe Rouge from France. The upcycling segment will continue to be at the focus of attention with exciting designs from Aluc, Globe Hope and the newcomer Lisa D., to name but a few. Bags and accessories will be presented, among others, by Harolds, Kancha and Rewrap. Further highlights will include collections presented by Alma & Lovis, Elementum, Format, HempAge, Komodo, Lanius and Recolution. The main highlight of the accompanying programme will be the Create Green Breakfast on Thursday, 10 July 2014, at 10:00 hrs, when politicians, business people and journalists will discuss the latest developments in the quality debate and the responsibility of the industry. Registration and further info is available from the website, and a dialogue is possible on Facebook.
