Spain: International symposium on organic agriculture

The international symposium Organic Agriculture – Clues for Weed Prevention and Control will take place in the auditorium Mar de Vigo in Vigo /Galicia (Spain) on 30 – 31 July 2014. Young and senior researchers working in weed prevention and ecological strategies improving weed control are welcome, whatever their field of expertise is: biodiversity conservation and enhancement, crop rotation, intercropping, green manures, cover crops, mulches, physical and cultural practices or others. Scientific sessions will be held on organic agriculture today, weed prevention strategies, weed control strategies, and organic agriculture in general.

The symposium will take place at the same time and at the same location as the 7th World Congress on Allelopathy. The organizers of the symposium believe that allelopathy and organic agriculture should be linked in the search of efficient ecologic tools for weed management. There will be one session concurrent with the 7th World Congress on Allelopathy organised by the International Allelopathy Society. More information on the congress is available here.
