by Redaktion (comments: 0)

The Natural and Organic Products Europe (NOPE) annual awards, hosted in association with the Soil Association, have become a benchmark for excellence. Winners gain a huge competitive advantage from displaying the winning logo on their products or in communications relating to their business, the Soil Association reports.

The Soil Association Organic Innovation Award 2014 is a new award, introduced to recognise the breadth of new ideas, processes and products which are being introduced within the organic industry on an annual basis. This could include a new range of products, a new marketing campaign, a new fixturisation in store etc. The winner will have developed and launched a new concept or idea during the previous 12 months, and the positive impact of their innovation will have been seen in the market. Entries are welcome from all sectors (e.g. food, textiles, health and beauty) and operators within the organic industry, including multiple and independent retailers, processors, brands and marketing initiatives. Judging will take place before the show with the overall winner announced at the event. Details on the entry are available here. Deadline for entries is 14 March 2014.

Exhibitors at NOPE this year may also be interested in entering the following categories, which are judged through the product showcase onsite at the show: Best Organic Food Product – open to all organic food exhibitors at the NOPE show;  Best Organic Non-food Product – open to all organic health and beauty, textile, other product exhibitors at the show. A full list of awards categories including non-organic categories can be found at NOPE Awards 2014.
