Munich Fabric Start in Germany

The international fabric trade fair Munich Fabric Start Spring/Summer 2015 will take place in Munich / Germany from 4 – 6 February 2014. As one of Europe’s leading fabric/textile trade fairs, Munich Fabric Start will also illuminate certified organic and sustainable fabrics and additionals at the Organic Selection: A selection of the most innovative sustainable fabrics with a direct reference of the manufacturer will be shown; a portfolio of more than 500 certified eco fabrics and sustainable innovations of international manufacturers; and about 100 certified additionals that are proved as "clean" product according to the approach of the trade-fair own labelling. The ECO Village provides a service center for professionals who are searching for a direct connection to certified and non-profit organizations for more sustainability and environmental awareness. These experts can provide concrete answers to questions from trade fair visitors around environmental safety/compatibility, resource management, social compatibility and eco-standards. The following organizations are present: Textile Exchange; Fair Wear Foundation; GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard); IVN (international association of the natural textile industry); IMO (Institute for Market Ecology); öko-Tex; Ceres (Certification of Environmental Standards) and Lenzing. Trend seminars with a wide range of lectures and roundtable discussions will take place as well as the Eco Summit featuring international top-notch speakers. More information is available here.
