Canada Celebrates Organic Week

This September 21-28 marks the fourth annual Organic Week. Across the country, Canadians will come together to celebrate the fastest growing food and agriculture sector in the country: organics.

Coordinated by Canadian Organic Growers, the Canadian Health Food Association and the Canada Organic Trade Association, Organic Week is celebrated through a variety of public events, farm tours and workshops dedicated to informing consumers of the health and ecological benefits of choosing organic products.

Organic Week events will take place from Newfoundland to British Columbia and will range from movie screenings to farm-tours. Many retailers and farmers markets will also use the week as an opportunity to showcase organic products and educate consumers.
