Campaign for organic milk in Denmark

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

With sales of just over DKK1bn (about EUR134m), dairy products remain the largest organic product group in Denmark. However, sales of organic milk are decreasing. Organic dairies in cooperation with Organic Denmark have joined forces in a new campaign to boost these sales again.

On the organic milk packages from Naturmælk, the Thise dairy and Arla in supermarkets in the coming months, the Danes will be able to read the benefits of organic milk. Slogans show the added value of this product - that organic cows grass on pastures, and that organic milk promotes a living landscape and protects the groundwater.

"We want to involve the Danes in the campaign by giving them a voice. On I Love Øko's Facebook page, one can share his or her arguments and thoughts about ecology and organic milk with other users and learn about the benefits of organics," Birgitte Nygaard, Project Manager at Organic Denmark explains. The campaign is accompanied in ads and posters all over Denmark that include a QR code. The milk campaign follows the Økodag (Organic Day), a day of open farms, where a record number of 153,000 Danes could recently experience the cows return to the pastures after the winter.
