UK: Seasalt wins Queen’s Award

Cornwall-based fashion company Seasalt has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Sustainable Development 2013. The award recognizes the pioneering efforts the company has made to the organic cotton industry in the UK. Seasalt is the first ever fashion company to win Britain’s most prestigious business award.
 
In 2010, the company was also the winner of the Natural & Organic Awards 2010, UK's Best Organic Retailer and was the first fashion brand to have clothing certified to Soil Association standards, according to company information. .
