Open days on farms in the Netherlands

Every year, organic farms in the Netherlands open their doors for a weekend. This year, the event takes place on 22 and 23 June. Visitors will be able to experience what organic farming entails and get to know the people behind organic production. In 2012, about 160 farms opened their doors for about 65,000 visitors.

Many initiatives will take place to learn, see and taste. Visitors can make their own juice, for example, take part in wine tastings or see the farm animals. Guided tours  will take place and there will be experiences and programs for children. On ww.lekkernaardeboer.nl/ZoekEenBoerderij, all participating farms are listed. The open farm days called Lekker naar de Boer are a project of Bionext.
