Italy: Organic wine guide 2013

The Guide to Organic Wines 2013 (La Guida ai Vini Bio 2013) is a comprehensive and up-to-date handbook in Italian. It deals with wine from certified organic and biodynamic production exclusively on 192 pages. The sixteenth edition of the guide reviews 871 wines from 214 wineries, accurately describing their organoleptic characteristics. Among these, 158 wines have been awarded a special mention for their high flavor profile - 50 from Tuscany, 17 from Marche and Sicily respectively and 13 from Veneto.
 

The guide was written by Pierpaolo Rastelli, who has been the author of this guide for eleven years. He also works at important guides published by Gambero Rosso, is responsible for the section "wine" at the monthly magazine Cucina Naturale and is a food critic for the Guide to Italian Restaurants (Guida ai Ristoranti d’Italia) and for L’Espresso.
