USA: Organicology 2013

Created by four organic trade organisations, Organicology is a collaborative platform that brings together the organic food community. It aims to advance trade knowledge and to address challenges in the organic food trade through workshops, networking and a trade show along with keynote addresses from field experts. The third biennial Organicology conference will be held in Portland, Oregon from 7 to 9 February 2013.
 

With a highly interactive format, this year’s curriculum will provide an in-depth look at sustainability and farming and will include topics on organic policy, next-generation organic leaders and retail merchandising. New this year is a half-day roundtable presented by Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility on increasing food choices and improving access to healthy food in institutional settings. The conference will culminate with an organic trade show featuring more than 100 exhibitors ranging from small family farms, breweries and food manufacturers to farm input and organic seed suppliers and advocacy and education groups.
